Blockchain App Maker is an independent publication about building blockchain products. We explain how each kind of platform works, what it takes to build, and where projects tend to go wrong.
Why this site exists
Search for almost any blockchain product and most of what you find is written to sell development work: long pages of features and promises, little about trade-offs, and nothing about failure modes. That isn't much help when you're deciding whether to build something, how big it really is, or whether a quote you've received makes sense.
These guides take the opposite approach. Each one starts from the product, whether that's an NFT marketplace, a lending protocol or a white-label exchange. It breaks the product into the parts you'd actually build, and it's candid about cost, risk, regulation and the cases where a blockchain isn't the right tool.
A note on this domain's history
The blockchainappmaker.com domain was previously used by a development company. It is now an independent, editorial site with no connection to that business. If you're trying to reach that company about an existing project, please contact it directly. We can't help with past engagements, and we don't hold any of its records.
How we write
- Specific over general. Every guide covers the mechanics of its own topic, such as the standards, contracts, infrastructure and integrations involved, rather than reusing one template.
- No invented numbers. Where we give cost or timeline ranges, we state the assumptions behind them. We don't publish market-size statistics we can't source.
- Honest about the downside. If a model has a history of collapsing, or a regulator treats it as a security, the guide says so.
- No paid placements. We don't accept payment for links, rankings or coverage.
Not advice
Everything here is general, educational information. It isn't financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Token sales, exchanges, custody and anything touching securities law need a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
Corrections and contact
Blockchain moves quickly, and we'd rather be corrected than wrong. If you spot an error or something out of date, see the contact page. If you work in the field and want to contribute, read how to contribute.
